You can add two
or more simple fraction as long as the denominators are the same.
EXAMPLE:
Add the numerators (top numbers).
Denominator (bottom number) stays same.

Calculate
The lowest common multiple of 3 and 8
is 24.
Multiply 1/3 top and bottom
by 8 to express in 24ths.
Multiply 3/8 top and bottom
by 3 to express in
24ths.
Adding Fractionand Mixed Numbers.
To add fractions or mixed number when the denominators are
different, rename the fractions so the denominators are the same.
